DR MYLES KWA

BMed, FAFRM (RACP)

Dr Myles Kwa is a consultant Rehabilitation Medicine Physician. He obtained his medical degree from the University of New England, graduating with Distinction as well as receiving the Australian Medical Association Ltd Prize for the highest overall performance in the Joint Medical Program.


Dr Kwa obtained his Fellowship from the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine after many years of training across several major teaching hospitals in Sydney. He completed subspecialty training at the Spinal Injuries Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit at Westmead Hospital.

Dr Kwa holds a Staff Specialist appointment at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and is regularly involved in the teaching of Rehabilitation Medicine trainees and medical students from the University of Sydney.

He has expertise across all areas of rehabilitation medicine and has special interest in the management of sarcopenia (low muscle mass) and frailty in older age, and spasticity management involving botulinum toxin injections. He is also actively involved in researching new nutritional and exercise interventions to improve the function and quality of life of older people.
